In an effort to be proactive in protecting the health and safety of our patrons and staff, we will temporarily be implementing the following service and program changes starting on Friday, March 13:
- In accordance with recommendations by Tarrant County Public Health Department, our building will be closed to the public until further notice.
- Please do not return items using the drive-thru book drop. We will be extending all due dates until we reopen, and no fines will be accrued during this time.
- All meeting room bookings, events, classes, and programs are suspended through May 20, 2020. This includes storytimes and toddler time.
- Interlibrary Loan services are suspended until further notice.
Patrons are encouraged to make use of our online resources. Our digital collection is available 24/7 and includes eBooks and eAudiobooks; digital magazines and comics; and talking picture books. We have increased our inventory of digital items to meet the increased demand. If you are new to any of these services, we are happy to assist you in getting started-- just send us an email at reference@nrhtx.com. We are also working on tutorial videos to help you get started in OverDrive and RBDigital.
Our patron’s safety, health, and well-being are our first priority. We will continue to communicate with you about any temporary service changes. Thank you for your patience as we work to best serve you during this challenging time. Please remember to care for yourself, your family, and those around you, while being mindful of the preventative measures recommended by The CDC. You can also stay informed through local resources, including the City of North Richland Hills, Birdville ISD, Tarrant County Health Department, and the Texas State Department of Health.
Thank you,
NRH Library Staff
