Grab a book and a bargain at the Library’s annual book sale! There will be something for everyone including adult and children’s fiction, non-fiction, audio books, CDs, DVDs, and more. A preview sale will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, October 5 with $5 admission; Friends of the Library members get in free. The sale will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, October 6 and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, October 8 with free admission both days. Please call 817-427-6800 for more information.

Join us for a pop-up Behind the Book event with 100 year-old author, world-record holding track runner, and WWII veteran Orville Rogers at the NRH Road Runner 5K. Mr. Rogers' book, The Running Man offers a fascinating look inside the life of an extraordinary man who at the age of ninety-nine continues to inspire, motivate, and challenge others to enjoy everything life offers. All proceeds from book sales will benefit the Library.

The 2018 NRH Road Runner 5K Run/1 mile Walk begins at Green Valley Park on Saturday, October 6, 2018 and winds through the beautiful John Barfield and Calloway Branch Trails, while also combining on-road sections.
This year's race will benefit Children's Literacy through the NRH Library, the Community Enrichment Center, which is located in North Richland Hills and helps families in crisis, and HELP Inc., a non-profit organization that helps orphans in Nigeria.
Cash Awards for Overall 1st, 2nd and 3rd place Male and Female and Overall Masters Male and Female! Awards will be presented three deep in each age group for the 5K Run/Walk.
Your registration includes: official Road Runner race shirt, Drawstring backpack, custom Road Runner 5K finisher medals, ribbons for 1 mile participants and lots of great swag!

Join us for our fall concert series! This month we will feature performers from the Traditional Irish Music Education Society. Irish music played traditionally is more than just a folk genre. It’s a very skillful and artful music that is best appreciated up close and personal. Come early for a front row seat to this performance of traditional Irish music that is guaranteed to be lively and exciting. Free and open to all ages; feel free to come and go.
