  1. Fall Concert Series: Sarah Copus 7:00 p.m.

    Sarah Copus is an award winning Celtic Folk Singer/Songwriter and harpist located in DFW.

    For a musician under 18, she has had some extraordinary success: two albums hit the Billboard charts that feature her as lead singer, and has been featured as a soloist at concerts of major touring artists like Celtic Woman and The Irish Tenors.

    Sarah is an active member in the Texas Celtic music scene, having given 100 performances in the past 2 years with various bands. Performance venues have included The Celt, Trinity Hall, North Texas Irish Festival, Celtic Christmas Dallas, Kimbellfest: Scotland, Poor David's Pub, among others. In May, 2015, she performed at the ZMR awards show in New Orleans in front of over 700 attendees and again in 2017 where she was nominated again for Best Vocal Album.

    Thinking about starting a business? Need the basics or learn where to go to for help? This workshop introduces you to the business planning process. If you want to turn your idea into a business, this seminar is critical to:

    • Define your business idea
    • Understand what a Business Plan is and why it’s necessary
    • Business legal structure, and Permits & licenses requirements
    • Where to turn for help

  2. Sew & Learn 3:30 p.m.

    October 14, 2019, 3:30 PM - 5:30 PM @ The Maker Spot

    Learn the basics of sewing on our Janome DC 2014 Sewing Machines while creating your own pillowcase. This class will certify anyone who wishes to use the sewing machines in The Maker Spot. All class attendees must have an NRH library card in good standing. Please read The Maker Usage Policy for more information. All attendees must complete a Maker Agreement before attending the class. This class is open to those 9 years old and older. Children ages 9-13 must have a parent attend class with them.

    Please arrive early to the class so that it can begin on time.
