Online Study Aids
The following resources can be accessed 24/7 with a North Richland Hills Library card from any device with Internet access.

Live Homework Help (Tutor.com) — Get live one-on-one tutoring and homework help for students of any age. Tutors are available: Sunday – Thursday from 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Saturday from 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

In addition, the SkillsCenter Resource Library offers worksheets, videos, websites, practice problems and other skills building resources. iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad users even have access to an app.

Learning Express Library — Provides practice tests and eBook tutorial courses for academic and specialized exams, in fields such as cosmetology, law enforcement, the military, nursing, plumbing, postal service, real estate and more. Get immediate scoring, complete answer explanations and individualized analysis of your results.

Pronunciator 
Learn 80 languages, including English as a second language, with Pronunciator. Choose from basic, intermediate and advanced courses, or check out the learning guides for children. 

TexShare databases — Need sources for a research paper? The databases licensed by TexShare and the North Richland Hills Library offer authoritative, scholarly, full-text articles from verifiable, subscription-only sources. Every search yields results that can’t be found on Google or Yahoo!, all without pop-ups or advertising.

New Database Login: Many of the databases now require patrons to login using the Texshare login and password. To obtain this login and password, please contact the Reference Department at 817-427-6814.

Study Guides Available for Checkout
The Library's Exam and Test Prep collection, located on the second floor of the library, includes study guides for exams such as the ACT, GED, GRE, PSAT, SAT and more.

Study Rooms

  • The North Richland Hills Public Library offers six study rooms during all hours the library is open. Two rooms are located downstairs near the CD collection and four rooms are located upstairs.
  • Access to the rooms is provided on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • A quiet area for studying is available on the second floor of the library.
