Volunteer at the Library
Please read more about volunteering at the Library in the Library's Volunteer Policy.

Adult Library volunteers will be at least 18 years old. Teen Library volunteers will be from 14 to 17 years old. Criminal background checks will be conducted for adult Library volunteers. All volunteers must be accepted by the Library prior to performance of assigned tasks.

Volunteers contribute by checking in materials, checking materials for damage, shelving books, shelving DVDs and audio-books, and assisting with the annual book sale. Volunteers are selected based on their qualifications in relation to the needs of the Library at any given time.

We would like to invite you to make a difference by sharing your skills and experiences. Do you have great customer service skills? Do you love to organize, alphabetize, and put things in order? Do you have a particular area of the library you would like to keep straight and tidy?  If so, call (817) 427-6800. We will try to find a good match for you.

Due to the large number of volunteer applications we receive at the NRH Library, we are not able to respond to all. If your qualifications match with our current needs, we will contact you.
