Join us in giving New York Times bestselling author Candice Millard a big North Richland Hills welcome! Candice will visit the NRH Library to discuss her latest book, River of the Gods: Genius, Courage, and Betrayal in the Search for the Source of the Nile, with writer and editor Mike Merschel. River of the Gods is a peerless story of courage and adventure, as well as a detailed look at one of the great feats of exploration and its complicated legacy.
About the Author
Candice Millard is a former National Geographic journalist and the author of three books, each of which was a New York Times bestseller and named a best book of the year by several publications, including the New York Times and the Washington Post. In addition, she is the recipient of the 2017 BIO Award and spoke at the 2016 Library of Congress National Book Festival Gala.

The Friends of the NRH Library will host a ticketed reception from 6:00–6:45 p.m. for $45.00.
Attendees will have the chance to meet Candice Millard, enjoy a light dinner, and receive a personalized signed hardback copy of Candice Millard’s latest book, River of the Gods.
