Free Business Workshops to Help Launch Your Business

Whether your lifelong dream is to own your own business or you're curious about the process of starting a new business, the North Richland Hills Library invites you to join us for the 2020 Clear Vision Business Building Workshop series. These FREE workshops presented by The North Texas Entrepreneur Education and Training Center will cover a variety of topics focused on the startup process and managing your new business. 

Vision Board Development
WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 22 | 5:30-8:00 P.M. (Register)
Participants will work as teams to develop a 2020 visual plan for your business. This will be a fun and interactive discussion that will help you create an action plan for your business.

Getting Started in Business
WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 5 | 6:00-7:30 P.M. (Register)
Preparing to start your own business can be overwhelming. In this session, you’ll learn the first steps in preparing to start a business, as well as some non-traditional steps to get you started on your journey into entrepreneurship. 

Going Beyond the DBA
WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 12 | 6:00-7:30 P.M. (Register)
So you’ve thought up your name, filed your "Doing Business As" (DBA), and completed all other necessary paperwork. Congrats--you’re on your way to being a business owner! What’s next? This workshop will cover the basics of marketing your business, retaining customers, networking, and more. 

Social Media Madness
WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 19 | 6:00-7:30 P.M. (Register)
Social media plays a critical role in marketing; it helps you connect with your audience, drive website traffic, and build your brand. We will review the top social media platforms and discuss best practices for utilizing each for your business so that you’ll be a social media pro in no time!

Balancing Books
WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 26 | 9:30-11:00 A.M. (Register)
In this session, we will discuss the importance of keeping good financial books for your business. You’ll learn about popular bookkeeping platforms and tools to help you efficiently manage your business’ finances.

These workshops are free, but space is limited. Please register for any classes you'd like to attend to secure your spot! Each workshop is designed to be a stand-alone class, so you can pick and choose which ones you'd like to attend.
