Lost & Found in Texas is a collection of salvaged, original photographs that tell little-known, often historically significant stories about people — some born or drawn to live in Texas, some just passing through, and others here only in the hearts of distant loved ones. Once lost, discarded, repurposed or unknown, these rare keepsakes are here and safe today, thanks to curiosity, generosity, and extraordinarily good luck.
Exhibit curated by Mary Solis-Witham, South Texas native and Mid-Cities resident since 1976. Known by trade as writer, reader, artist, historian, photo hunter, junk collector, and all-round good kid.
The photos will be on display in the NRH Library lobby through Thursday, February 6, 2020.
