Job Skill Development Online Classes

Creating a spreadsheet in Excel

Are you looking to strengthen your skills for getting back into the workplace? Our upcoming virtual Job Skills Development series can help you feel more confident in your skills. This series of online classes will allow you to learn job skills from the comfort of your home. With these classes, you’ll be able to strengthen some of the most needed basic skills to increase your appeal to employers.

A key part of job hunting is having a strong resume that helps you market yourself as the best candidate. If you are unsure how to put together a resume, or want to refresh your existing resume, our Resume Basics class can help.

The Microsoft Office Suite software is key to many jobs. Word and Excel, in particular, are extremely important to know. Our two-part Microsoft Word class will cover the basics you need to get started with the most widely used word processing software. And if you’ve always wondered how to work with Excel, or need to brush up, you can take our two-part Excel Basics class.

To attend these classes, you will need internet access and a device large enough to see the screens being shared by your instructor. For the Microsoft Word and Excel classes, you will also need Microsoft 2013 or 2016 and Excel 2013 or 2016 installed on your device.

If you are unfamiliar with Zoom, Michael will walk you through the basics of joining a meeting, signing up for a Zoom account, and creating your own meeting in this instructional video.
