Pinterest Parties: Macramé Plant Holder 3:00 p.m.

Tuesday, March 16, 2021

Macramé, the art of knotting rope, is a great way to make your own boho-chic plant hangers. It’s a trendy art that’s been resurrected from the '70s, and it’s even better than before. If you’re a plant lover, you’ll love the way these hangers will put your plants on display indoors. Making your first DIY macramé plant hanger is a project that may seem daunting at first, but once you’ve learned the basics, it’s actually quite easy! We’ll show you how to make a macramé plant hanger using basic knots and patterns. Any leftover supplies are yours to keep.

Supplies can be picked up the week before the event at the Circulation desk or through Library Express.

Supplies are limited; registration required. 1 kit per person

To Register:
Click the 'Reserve Your Spot!' link above to access the registration and event page.
On the left-hand side of the page, you'll find the event information and registration link. On the right hand side has where to login to the event, but ignore that for now.

Click the 'Register' link to sign up for the event. You just need your name, email, and library card number to join our virtual events. Once registered, a confirmation email will be sent to the email you provided. Be sure to use an email that you have access to, as we will send all reminders and access links to this email.

Joining the Event:
On the day and time of the event, find your confirmation email with link (or use the same link found above) to access the event page again. This time we'll use the right-hand side of the page.

If the top says the event has not started, this means the host has not yet started the event. Wait a few minutes and then refresh the page. When the event is ready, the 'Join Now' button should turn green  -- do not use the 'Join by browser' option, as it will not let you use your camera!

Note:
if you're using a web browser, you may see the below screen. Ignore options 1 and 2, and instead use "run temporary application" at the bottom to ensure you'll be able to use your camera.
