Bam! Pow!: Great Graphic Novels

I am a total comic book and graphic novel nerd. I’ve read them for as long as I’ve been able to read. If you’re a long time fan or new to comics we have digital comics that you can access from anywhere through RBDigital Comics. Today I’m going to list some great graphic novels for adult readers that you can find online!

Ms. Marvel Vol 1: No Normal by G. Willow Wilson

Ms. MarvelNot to be mistaken with Captain Marvel, this is the story of Ms. Marvel. Kamala Khan is a regular high schooler in Jersey City when, due to a strange event, she develops amazing powers. Follow Kamala as she learns to cope with new powers, villains, and being a teenager. Also a great read for teens!

Black Panther: A Nation Under Our Feet (Book 1) by Ta-Nehisi Coates

Marvel 1602  by Neil Gaiman

Marvel 1602Superheroes in 1602? That’s the basic premise for this graphic novel, which puts well-known heroes in an entirely different time period. Some familiar faces you see in this volume are Doctor Strange, Nick Fury, and Doctor Doom. Enjoy classic heroes transformed into Elizabethan figures.

From Hell by Alan Moore

From HellThis graphic novel is the story of Jack the Ripper, the infamous serial killer who terrorized London’s Whitechapel district in the late 1800s. This story traces the crimes of Jack the Ripper. Journey with Inspector Frank Abberline as he investigates this case.

March Vol 1 by John Lewis and Andrew Aydin

March Vol 1Congressman John Lewis works with Aydin to share the story of his life and his experience as a pivotal figure of the Civil Rights movement. The first volume tells the story of his birth, his childhood in Alabama, his meeting Dr. Martin Luther King Jr, and the beginnings of his work to end segregation. We do have all three volumes of March, so you can read his entire incredible story. Also a great read for teens!

Anthony Bourdain’s Hungry Ghosts by Anthony Bourdain and Joel Rose

Anthony CoverThis horror anthology by Bourdain and Rose tells the story of a group of chefs who are challenged to play the samurai game, 100 candles, where they must share stories of ghosts and other supernatural beings. The goal is to survive the game. Featuring recipes from famed chef Bourdain, this is sure to please any horror fans.
