We're excited to introduce new children's library cards featuring artwork created by local children and teens in our recent library card art contest! Along with this update, we've revised the terms and conditions for children's cards to include a more formal acknowledgment of the important role parents and guardians play in guiding their children's reading choices.
As part of this change, all current children's cards will be deactivated on December 1. Please visit the library before this date to upgrade your children's cards and avoid any service interruptions. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding. We've also received questions about whether adults can use these cards. The answer is yes; however, adults will need to pay the standard $1.00 card replacement fee. Since these cards are designed for children, all children's cards will be replaced free of charge.
For those who use Libby, please note that changing your card will delete your current holds and reading history in Libby.
We look forward to sharing these beautiful new cards with you!
