Your Library has received the 2019 Achievement of Library Excellence Award from the Texas Municipal Library Director’s Association (TMLDA) for the FIFTH consecutive year!
Each year TMLDA confers awards for outstanding contributions to public libraries. To successfully receive the Achievement of Library Excellence Award, the applicant must exhibit excellence in providing services to underserved and special populations, in enhancing services, in marketing their programs and services in innovative ways, in promoting cultural, topical, and educational programming, in providing literacy support, in providing summer reading clubs, in pursuing collaborative efforts, in supporting workforce development, in providing for digital inclusion, and in comprehensively training staff.
Of the 571 public libraries in Texas, the North Richland Hills Library is one of only 53 to receive the award. This places the North Richland Hills Library in the top 10% of libraries in the state in terms of excellence of services, programs, marketing, and staff training during the 2019 calendar year. Thank you to all of our hardworking staff, volunteers, and Friends of the Library for all of the hard work they did in 2019 to make this possible!
