Teen Spot Now Open!

We've got exciting news to share with you -- the new Teen Spot is now available for browsing! The Teen Spot is located on the second floor of the Library, in a section of The Maker Spot. The new space provides more room for the collection, allowing for the expansion of our young adult fiction, graphic novels, and manga collections.

All of the Maker Spot equipment will remain unavailable at this time, until all pandemic restrictions have been lifted. When restrictions are lifted, we will expand on what we offer, adding technology like charging stations, laptop checkouts, and other resources to help teens with their school work and promote collaboration.

Monica - Teen Spot-2The Teen Spot is led by Youth Services Librarian Monica, who views the Teen Spot "as a comfortable gathering place for tweens and teens to browse for books, sit, read, and visit with friends." Her hope for the space is for it to be "a place of comfort and peace, where teens can spend time without any judgment."

The Teen Spot is open during all regular Library hours, but a Librarian will be available in the space to assist you on weekday afternoons from 3:00-5:30 p.m., and Fridays from 3:00-5:00 p.m.
