We're excited to announce that your Library has received the 2021 Achievement of Library Excellence Award from the Texas Municipal Library Director’s Association (TMLDA) for the sixth consecutive year!
Each year TMLDA confers awards for outstanding contributions to public libraries. To successfully receive the Achievement of Library Excellence Award, the Library must exhibit excellence in providing services to underserved and special populations, in enhancing services, in marketing their programs and services in innovative ways, in promoting cultural, topical, and educational programming, in providing literacy support, in providing summer reading clubs, in pursuing collaborative efforts, in supporting workforce development, in providing for digital inclusion, and in comprehensively training staff. The North Richland Hills Library demonstrated distinction with its many programs like The Mayor's Summer Reading Club, The Mid-Cities Teen Book Fest, Library in the Park, the Fall Concert Series, and services like Library Express and The Maker Spot.
Of the 565 public libraries in Texas, the North Richland Hills Library is one of 59 to receive the award. This places the North Richland Hills Library in the top 10% of libraries in the State regarding the excellence of services, programs, marketing, and staff training during the 2020 calendar year.

Thank you to all of our staff and the Friends of the NRH Library, whose hard work throughout 2021 made this possible!
