After ten years of service and countless stitched memories, our long-arm quilting machine, Lucy, has reached the end of her lifespan and can no longer be repaired. The good news is that our Friends of the Library will help us fundraise for her replacement—affectionately named "Ethel."
Our first fundraiser will be a Quilting Raffle. Some of the talented members of our quilting community have generously donated quilts that we will raffle off on behalf of the Friends of the NRH Library. Quilts will be displayed from June 16 through the end of the Mayor's Summer Reading Club on July 26.
Raffle tickets will be available for purchase at the Library's Circulation Desk for $5.00 each or 5 tickets for $20. All proceeds will go toward the cost of purchasing a new long-arm quilting machine to last us for years to come.
Additionally, donations can be made through the Friends of the NRH Library, in person and online! (Please note that it's for The Maker Spot or a quilting machine.)

Whether you're a quilter yourself or just love supporting local creativity, we'd be so grateful for your support!
Thank you for being part of our Maker Spot community!
Sincerely,
